My Older Sister rubbed off on me….

So I’m at Wal-Mart today thinking “Ohhhh! Mint chocolate would be so awesomely great right now!” Since right now I only have a box of cereal in my dorm room and I like variety (Just ask my family about smoothies and watch the distorted faces and dry gagging for assurance on how much I like variety in food). So I grab some gum and a bag of chocolate mint things when this little voice pops up in my head, for some reason it sounds like my health-freak (Said in a loving way!) older sister, Megan. The little invader convinces me that chocolate (Aside from a few measly anti-oxidants) isn’t all that great for me. I know! Craziness, right? But by the time I reach the self-check out register that little devil has convinced me that I don’t really have a craving for chocolate, no….. I want pretzels…. and raisins….. and I’m almost out of water too….. Luckily I’m enjoying my food stash since pretzels and raisins make great snackage. Just wanted to show how older siblings can have negative effects on the younger members of the family :P Hehe

  1. Good for you! I wish Megan would sit on my shoulder and coach me when I reach for chocolate…or blackberry cobbler…or…

  2. Ok, let me explain something. Jon’s smoothies consist of:

    Lemon lime yogurt
    fruit juice
    fruit
    ice
    (yep normal, huh? just wait…)

    peanut butter
    broccoli
    lettuce
    celery
    carrots

Some of those in combination can be great, but broccoli and peanut butter? Yes, I did not mean these were separate smoothie. ALL of the above ingredients are put in the SAME bender at the SAME time. Doesn’t look bad, but…well, you can decide.

I cannot say that I have tried it so if you are curious on how it tastes you can try it. ;)

  3. P.S. Good job on choosing the healthy route! Keep this up and you can join the group you mention in your profile…the ones feeling stupid because they are dying of nothing. ;)
    j/k. Really good job.

  4. That smoothie sounds…. uhhh… let me see how do I say this in a nice way…..ummmmm………..YUCK!
